CASE STUDY

PROJECT:

TEXO Association

Following the merger of two major construction associations and a transition in executive leadership, TEXO required a unified strategy to redefine its identity, strengthen member engagement, and position the organization for long-term growth.

Situation

In Dallas, Texas, the Associated General Contractors (AGC) and the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) chapters merged to form TEXO, The Construction Association. While the merger created new opportunities, it also introduced organizational complexity, overlapping identities, and evolving member expectations.

With new leadership in place, TEXO recognized the need for a comprehensive assessment of its positioning, communications, and marketing infrastructure to support its next phase of growth.

Our Approach

PRAXIS served as a strategic advisor and embedded partner, leading a comprehensive evaluation of TEXO’s communications ecosystem and member engagement framework.

Our work included:

  • Conducting a full audit of digital platforms, messaging, and brand assets
  • Developing audience archetypes and a structured messaging framework
  • Designing the architecture for a new website and digital presence
  • Creating integrated marketing and communications systems
  • Producing core collateral and visual assets
  • Developing and presenting a long-term strategic marketing plan to the Board of Directors

Throughout the engagement, PRAXIS focused on building internal alignment and durable systems that leadership could sustain over time.

Results

TEXO implemented the strategic framework across programming, communications, and operations. The organization successfully launched new initiatives, strengthened member engagement, and established a more cohesive public identity.

Key hires, signature programs, and expanded events reflected the clarity and direction established through the engagement, supporting TEXO’s continued growth as a leading construction association in North Texas.

This engagement reflects PRAXIS’s role in helping organizations navigate structural change with clarity, discipline, and long-term perspective. By aligning strategy, systems, and leadership priorities, we supported TEXO’s transition into a unified, forward-focused institution.
